STOP PRESS:

As most of you will know, we are not currently worshipping in our own Church buildings as they are being refurbished. After much prayer, we have decided not to hold a Women's Day in January 2012 but to re-launch in 2013 in our re-ordered Church and Halls. What an exciting prospect that is!
So look out for details in the Autumn of 2012.

Be my rock of refuge, to
which I can always go.
Psalm 71:3

January 2011

A great time was had by those women who attended this year's event. Our speakers were Libby Etherington from St Stephen's, Twickenham and Alison Newnham with a contribution by Lois McGinley both from Woodlands church. We also watched a personal testimony recorded by Kathy Pope.

The men waited on us women while we relaxed and enjoyed the day.
The augmented Christchurch Worship Band gave as a brilliant time of worship including some new songs.
The church flowers added to the brilliance of the event.

If you would like to receive a copy of the 2 talks on CD they are available at a cost of £3.00; please click to email for details.

Comments about the day:
"Libby was great - hit the right note. Alison's session was affirming and unpacked the jargon".
"A lovely opportunity to do nothing but praise, worship and hear the Lord".
"The afternoon session was brilliant - it was great to learn new things and have my eyes opened to the possibility of more that God has for me".
In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame.

Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness;
turn your ear to me and save me.

Be my rock of refuge,
to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.

Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked,
from the grasp of evil and cruel men.

For you have been my hope, O Soveriegn LORD,
my confidence since my youth.

From birth I have relied on you;
you brought me forth from my mother's womb.
I will ever praise you.

Psalm 71:1-6
