Many of you may recognise me as I've been around at Christchurch and St Nic's for a while. My name is Liz Chetland and I'm a former pupil of St Nicholas Chantry (or Highdale Juniors as it was then).
I trained as a psychologist and spent 8 years living and working in Portsmouth before moving back to Clevedon almost 3 years ago. While in Portsmouth I spent 4 years leading outreach activities for children aged 5-11 such as holiday clubs and mid-week after school clubs for my Church.
Since returning to Clevedon I have worked voluntarily as youth co-ordinator (working with 11-18's) at Christchurch. I am currently training at Trinity College Bristol as an ordained pioneer minister. As part of my training I spend a day a week at Christchurch, and will be working alongside Rev Clive Jennings within St Nic's, taking assemblies, running Youth Alpha and hopefully lots more exciting things to come! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and I'm excited about getting more involved with school life.

Youth Alpha asks 'Y God?'
Youth Alpha is a fun and friendly group where you can come along and find out more about Christianity and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
Starting in January those children in yr6 will be able to join Youth Alpha on Wednesday lunchtimes.
Each week there will be fun, games, quiz's and chat as we think about questions like, 'what does God look like?' and 'who was Jesus' dad?' Youth Alpha is run by Clive, Liz and Wendy from Christchurch - a taster session will be available to children after the Christmas holidays but if you'd like any further information please do contact us through this website.
