Christmas is also time for stillness…
We welcome you to our Christmas Carol service. This is the first year Christchurch has not been able to run a Carol service within the building. It’ll be a little different without the candlelit church, but we hope we can capture a little of the stillness and time of reflection here.
Five of our Congregation have chosen their favourite Carols, giving us an introduction as to why it is important to them.
We pray that with all the stresses that this year has brought, all the confusion, frustrations and discomfort – you will find some peace this Christmas.
There are limited spaces for our Christmas services in Church, so you’ll need to book your seat here. If you can’t make it, don’t worry we have a special online Big Christingle service on Christmas eve, and a Christmas Day online service too.
Christchurch wishes to say thank you to those who have generously allowed us to use their music:
Jubilate Hymns for the “Calypso Carol”, The North Baptist Association (“The Big Sing“) for “O Come All Ye Faithful”, Out of the Ark for “Child in a Manger Born”, Colin Webster & Phil Moore for “Silent Night”, St Martin-in-the-Fields and the Royal School of Church Music for “In the Bleak Midwinter” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”.
