Chronavirus 100,000 a Call to Prayer

At 6pm from on Mondays throughout February, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling on the nation to light a candle and pray for all those who mourn.

With so many people affected by these tough times, it can be useful to structure our daily prayer. The Prayer for the Nation provides themes for each day of the week.

A Prayer For Those Who Mourn

Gracious God,
as we remember before you the thousands who have died,
surround us and all who mourn with your strong compassion.
Be gentle with us in our grief,
protect us from despair,
and give us grace to persevere
and face the future with hope
in Jesus Christ our risen Lord.
Amen.
