Covid-19 update – 28th June
The Church building remains closed, contact the church office if you have a need for access.
In this week where the prayers of many hoteliers, pub landlords and those in desperate need of a haircut have been answered, we as a church remain cautious in our plans and decisions to open our doors with the virus still
prevalent and social distancing in place.
The latest national C of E guidelines are very helpful :
“We will not be returning to normality overnight – this is the next step on a journey. We’ve been planning carefully, making detailed advice available for parishes to enable them to prepare to hold services when it is safe and practical to do so. It is important to say that the change in Government guidance is permissive, not prescriptive”.
Pray with us as a leadership team as we continue to wait, watch and discern the best way forward for our setting, always bearing in mind the care and health of a large congregation of all ages. We will continue to carefully consider our response in the weeks to come.
We give thanks for the opportunities we have all been given as the Holy Spirit leads each and everyone of us to reach our neighbours, colleagues, friends and those in need. It would be lovely to hear your stories of where new relationships have been established and grown, and people have engaged afresh with the Gospel during this time.
As always if you need to get in touch you can contact the leadership team through the contact us page, or through the emails on the newssheet.
