Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus.  What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. On each of the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come you will be invited to say a different prayer.  These are: To Jesus, Praise, Thanks, I’m Sorry, Offer, Pray For, Help, Adore, Celebrate, Silence and Thy Kingdom Come. Click on the website for more details:  https://www.thykingdomcome.global/...

On the 26th February 2018 Christchurch has been afforded Benefice status within the Diocese of Bath and Wells  with Revd Clive Jennings being inducted as the  Vicar of the new Benefice of Christchurch Clevedon. Clive was inducted by the Archdeacon of Bath and the Revd Donna Wilkie was similarly licensed as curate of Christchurch. The creation of  a new  Christchurch Benefice within  the Diocese of Bath and Wells will bring little change to the what has been for many years a thriving and innovative Methodist/Anglican Ecumenical Partnership, it’s life, mission, outreach and growth.  It will however clarify matters within the wider Anglican Church setting. We give thanks to God for this innovative and exciting part of our continued and evolving ministry......

Last Saturday, Christchurch was filled with joy, laughter, worship, prayer, singing, praising and, of course plenty of chatter(!), as friends old and new met up for our Women’s Day 2018.  A BIG thank you to the 136 ladies who came along and made it such a special occasion. Anne Calver, a speaker at New Wine, gave two inspiring talks during the day (available on our website under Growing > Teaching). We heard two blessed and thought-provoking Testimonies. Thanks also go to the Men’s Team of helpers, the Tech Team and the Worship Team for all their support (Julian’s first year leading the Worship Team was a great success), to the bakers for their delicious cakes and to Gwen for the beautiful flowers.......

Not long to go to the end of the season now....

The Festival was a great success with over 800 visitors over the weekend! The snow on Sunday afternoon added a certain atmosphere and it was great that folk still turned out to see the trees.  The Favourite Tree vote was popular as always – this year 1st Clevedon West Guides were front runners, closely followed by St. John’s Owl Base! We raised around £1500 which will be shared between YMCA, Springboard Opportunity Group and Christchurch. Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time and effort at a very busy time of year. Jo Sims and all the Festival team...
